Professor Lijun Lu

Professor Lijun Lu is Professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Head of the Medical Engineering Department at the School of Biomedical Engineering, Southern Medical University. A Pearl River Young Scholar of Guangdong Province and a former Visiting Scholar at Johns Hopkins University, his core research covers PET molecular imaging, multi-modal medical image artificial intelligence analysis, and extended reality (XR) / mixed reality holographic visualisation for clinical surgery and medical education. He leads the R&D programme of HoloMedicine® China, promoting the research, innovation, and deployment of holographic medicine in China. Prof. Lu leads multiple national and provincial research projects, has published more than 60 high-level SCI papers, and holds 10 invention patents. He serves as Chair of the Intelligent Medical Imaging Branch of the Guangdong Society of Biomedical Engineering, advancing the clinical transformation of immersive medical imaging technologies.
